The mobility industry around the globe has started to see a transformation from the fossil fuel based mobility to cleaner electric based mobility. The Depleting fossil fuels, the rising fuel costs and awareness on the environment, adoption of policies and schemes by the governmeds worldwide to promote and encourage the use OF electric and alternative fuel based mobility have been the driving forces behind the electric vehicle (EV) revolution that the world has been witnessing.
India, on its part, has been taking many key steps to promote the use OF electric vehicles with almost all the states coming up with special schemes both for the industry as well as the end users.
Steps such as offering capital subsidy on Fixed assets, exemption on stamp duty, stipend skill development subsidy, production linked subsidy, and various other initiatives are being taken both by the central government as well as the state government for attracting investments and providing support for the Electric Vehicle Industry.
